Minstry Of Water Resources Reiterates April Deadline For Colour-coating Of Water Tankers
In an effort to protect the citizens from the outbreak of water-related diseases and ensure that potable water is distributed to residents of the state both in the metropolis and rural areas, the Enugu State Ministry of Water Resources hereby reiterates its earlier directive to water tanker owners and drivers to colour-coat their tankers as follows:
• SKY-BLUE COLOUR: for drinking water, with DRINKING WATER SUPPLY boldly written on it, on both sides and the back.
• YELLOW COLOUR: for industrial water tankers with INDUSTRIAL WATER SUPPLY boldly written on it, on both sides and the back.
However, the extended six months window provided by the Enugu State Water Sector Law, 2023, which became effective last November elapses at the end of April 2024, while enforcement commences on May 1, 2024.
